Blek Le Rat is amongst the most celebrated and influential figures in the world of street art, indeed he is regarded as the "Godfather" of stencil graffiti. Banksy was famously quoted in his unofficial biography "Every time I think I've painted something original I find out that Blek le Rat has done it as well, only 20 years earlier".

Leila Jeffreys is a Sydney based photographer that is on the rise. Her fascination with Australia’s native birds and a uniquely observant eye has given birth to a stunning photographic series that has everybody talking. So, you can imagine how thrilled we are to have her form part of the NEW GEN exhibition at Art Melbourne this May!
Works from the series have already been purchased by Artbank and are now hung in Australian embassies and missions across the world. Art Melbourne will be the last opportunity to purchase works before the new series is premiered later this year! Leila will be showing with Iain Dawson Gallery, stand F11.
